  • Galvin at Windows receives a visit from David Croft…

    While in London David had lunch at the Michelin starred Galvin at Windows, which is the restaurant run by chef Chris Galvin who also features in the cookbook section of Food for Thought. The restaurant is superbly positioned on the 28th floor of the Hilton hotel in Park Lane along with superb views overlooking Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace. While Chris Galvin was unfortunately not working in the kitchen at the time David was fortunate to meet Fred Sirieix, General Manager of Galvin at Windows. This meeting was most interesting, as Fred is also involved as Maitre d’ in Channel 4’s First Dates programme and of late the Million Pound Menu on BBC Two. The Million Pound Menu is a concept where various restaurateurs wish to expand their business with possible investment from industry investors like Lydia Forte of the five-star Rocco Forte Hotels group, Darrel Connell, partner with investment group IMBIBA Partnership, Jeremy Roberts, CEO of Living Ventures and Tim Gee, property director with property development and investment company Allied London along with Chris Miller, founder of restaurant investment company the White Rabbit Fund. Fred Sirieix is seen below receiving a copy of Food for Thought from David Croft.
